Scott shows you how to find inspiration in and appreciation for what you have or strive to have ' not what you don't have or think you can't get. He motivates you to reach for your ultimate potential through your own efforts, belief in yourself, careful planning, teamwork, everyday mind and body fitness, and a renewed look at your true passions in life.
After a wake-up call as an 18-year-old freshman at the University of Utah - a life-changing snow skiing accident that left him with a permanent spinal cord injury - Scott has learned what it means to take advantage of the opportunities that each day presents through a willingness to achieve. It is that message, "every challenge is an opportunity," that will inspire you to appreciate the power you possess to start living the life you have always imagined!
Since his accident, Scott has spent more than 20 years as a world-class athlete and leader in Paralympic and national competitive sports - as well as 14 years developing and directing an internationally-renowned disabled sports program at Lakeshore Foundation (Ala.) This experience has left Scott with an unmatched understanding of setback and success. These are lessons that, when applied to business, sports and everyday life, become both an inspiration and a path to life-changing, personal re-evaluation of your own goals and expectations.
